Summer Academy
Summer Academy Program

Students were immersed in a wide variety of STEM lessons during our Summer Academy program.
The Savanna School District’s Summer Academy provides students with an engaging and enriching learning experience designed to support academic growth while making learning fun. Open to all current students in Transitional Kindergarten through fifth grade, Summer Academy offers opportunities for students to strengthen essential skills, explore new interests, and stay connected to learning during the summer months.
During Summer Academy 2026, approximately 500 students participated in the program, while an additional 75 students attended our Extended School Year (ESY) program. Through a variety of exciting weekly themes, students engaged in hands-on Language Arts, Mathematics, and STEM activities designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and reinforce important academic skills. Learning came to life through interactive projects, collaborative challenges, and engaging experiences that kept students actively involved throughout the summer.
Our dedicated teachers and staff created a welcoming environment where students could build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and develop a love of learning. Whether students were conducting science investigations, solving math challenges, participating in literacy activities, or exploring STEM concepts, each week offered new opportunities for discovery and growth.
Summer Academy continues to be an important part of the District's commitment to supporting student success and providing meaningful learning experiences beyond the regular school year. We are proud of the enthusiasm, effort, and accomplishments demonstrated by our students throughout the summer.
Information regarding the 2027 Summer Academy program, including registration details, dates, and locations, will be available in early April 2027. Families are encouraged to check the District website and school communications for updates.
We look forward to another exciting summer of learning, exploration, and fun in 2027!
