The Savanna School District logo features a red apple with four white stars and the text 'Today's Learners - Tomorrow's Leader'.

Savanna School District is committed to identifying, locating, and evaluating children and youth, ages 3 through 22, who may have a disability or developmental delay and may be eligible for special education services. This process, known as Child Find, helps ensure that children with disabilities are identified as early as possible and receive the support and services they need to access and benefit from their education.

Under federal and state law, all school districts are required to implement Child Find procedures to identify students who may need special education and related services. Child Find applies to all children residing within the district boundaries, including students enrolled in public schools, private schools, charter schools, homeschool programs, and children not yet enrolled in school.

If you have concerns about your child's development, learning, communication, behavior, social-emotional growth, or academic progress, we encourage you to contact the Savanna School District Special Education Department. District staff can provide information about the referral process, available supports, and next steps for determining whether an evaluation may be appropriate.

For more information or to discuss a referral, please contact the Savanna School District Special Education Department at (714) 236-3815.
